Mad Scientist Drink Fusion Lab, A Mocktail Focused Workshop

Overview
Laboratory: A place providing an opportunity for experimentation, observation, or practice in a field of study.

This is an ever-changing and high-concept mocktail workshop (aka. laboratory) for those with 0 to 100 levels of experience. Unconventional, not a class; learn through experimentation! You get to take risks in this lab with hundreds of ingredients at your fingertips that you wouldn't normally take at home or in a cocktail class. Tools include smoking guns, test tubes, shaker sets, etc.

It is my goal as your host to work with each of you and fine-tune each event to fit your individual mixology goals. By design, any awkwardness and negative judgment is kicked out the door in order for the madness to ensue!

Would not recommend. The lab was sticky and unclean with leftovers from the night before. The utensils had old food stuck to them, and the snacks were stale or expired. The instructor came in and said she would clean and restock, but she never did. The gingerale and drinks were flat, and the glassware for instagram pictures was dirty. We weren't aware that there was ice until she told us halfway in through the class... for $100 per person, it was a sorry experience.

I’m so sorry you had a negative experience. I sanitize then polish all tools, bottles and supplies prior to restocking. Since partially poured bottles of liquids are sanitized and polished to be re-used for the next class, you may have experienced a ginger ale where I may have missed screwing the cap shut all the way. It is best to inform me if a bottle is flat, because I have plenty more new bottles in the back! If I had known (since I don’t drink my own inventory), I would have re-stocked a new one right away! I did welcome you to come back for free in the future. Thank you for letting me know about a flat bottle, and I’ll switch them out. As far as ingredients are concerned, I welcome you to snoop around the entire space, as I don’t always mention all the ingredients. I may have made the simple dumb mistake of forgetting to tell you about the location of the ice bucket in my 15 minute extensive lecture. I apologize for that too. It may have been a bit of an ‘off-day’ for me, as my allergies have been picking up with the spring season. I’ve been taking allergy medicine this past week and it may have thrown me off and caused me to operate at a bit slower pace. I promise to take note and do better, and thank you for your honest review. Thank you again for attending my lab. :)

I think yesterday’s session just went sideways on the host Jen. The AC was not working in the building and it was an unseasonably hot day in Seattle. Jen appeared surprised when we arrived for our session and seemed a bit disheveled and disoriented. We immediately decided it was not a good plan to continue. We thanked Jen for her time and left before the session genuinely started. As I said, maybe just a bad day. Seeking refund

No air conditioning in our building definitely took things sideways. We believe a refund was sent and apologize for the inconvenience. Please feel free to reach out to us in case the refund did not go through and we'll take care of that right away.

I think the beauty of the Mad scientist drink Fusion Lab was that it was focused on Mocktails and that it was fun and authentic. Everyone was themselves, and you are allowed to have fun making Mocktails and learning from everyone in the room and it is perfectly okay to make a mistake! Matter of fact, you are encouraged to go outside your comfort zone and show that element of creativity. Jen and her team were great at hosting us and the ambience was very warm and welcoming. The space and venue/loft had a close and intimate feeling as well as being right in the heart of Seattle. Def. a must do if you are looking to meet new people or just trying something with your partner/friends or just doing something fun in Seattle!
