John was amazing. He gave very good instructions and made everyone feel safe. He gave us a great tour and the turtles were amazing.

We took a kayak trip to Turtle Town with John Shappell as our guide. We had 4 children ages 6 to 11 and 5 adults. John was pleasant and patient with all of us. The kayaking was great fun and great exercise. John found places where we were able to literally swim with the beautiful turtles. As a bonus, John took over 200 high quality pictures for a reasonable fee. We will have them to relive the memories. It really was the highlight of our trip to Maui.

John went above and beyond. From teaching us the basics of snorkeling to showing us how the ecosystem works on the reefs (we were lucky enough to hold an octopus), he had the absolute best attitude and cracked a few jokes to make us all feel more familiar. The small groups allow for a much better experience.
