Our group went out with John. We were originally supposed to go out on the Monday but when we arrived he suggested we rebook unless we really wanted to work for it. It was definitely worth the wait. John was very patient and helpful. I was nervous about getting back into the kayak from the water due to an I ury but with his encouragement and suggestions it was fine. We paid for the photos and was very happy that we did!

Maui Kayaks was a great way to spend a morning. I originally purchased the trip as a birthday present for my mom, and it was a perfect way to get out on the water and see the shoreline from the water. We were very lucky and saw mom and calf whales up close, which is a special treat. The turtles were great as well, we went looking for rays but sadly did not find any. Perhaps the most memorable was our guide John. I think he must be the happiest guy in the world! With a quick wit and an excitement bordering on giddiness he had us laughing the whole time while working tirelessly to find whales, turtles and rays. I would go back just to hang out with him for another morning!
