Our tour guide John was great! He gave really clear kayak and snorkeling instructions, so even folks with minimal experience (like us!) could enjoy the outing. Seeing the turtles up close was amazing. We had middle age adults and some teens, and we all thought this was a highlight of our Maui trip.

We had the best time! Carlos was a wonderful guide and took great care of everyone! We saw whales up close in the kayaks and swam with tons of turtles. It was amazing and one of the highlights of our trip for us and our kids (ages 5 and 7).

First is remember that there are quite a few kayak tours all going out at the same time, so get there early enough to find your guide and get ready for some fun on the water. Carlos was the ultimate leader for our morning on the water. As someone who is responsible for a group of kayakers with varied skills, he does a good job of keeping everyone aware and safe, but also bringing a fun vibe to the day. I give him lots of credit, it's not a job to take lightly. Our morning was determined more by the whale activity, that was unexpectedly quite a highlight. But once we had our fill, Carlos still balanced our time to get us in for some great snorkeling and swimming with the turtles. Definitely happy in our choice of Maui Kayaks!
