We’ve done a few kayak trips all over the world, and this was hands down the best one. We saw a bunch of whales, and the snorkeling spot was great. Our guide, John, was crazy knowledgeable and fun. At the snorkeling spot, he dove down to show us all the cool fish, and even a turtle! We’ve had some “teamwork issues” in the double kayaks before, but after his initial instruction and explanation, we hit the ocean cruising, and it felt great the whole time! Would definitely recommend, especially the long tour with John!!!

First I want to say that we were super thrilled with John our guide. He was phenomenal and really took showing us a good time seriously. We did see some whales and turtles, but let me explain something everyone should know. 1. They promise max 8 people per trip. Since we are a family of 6 we thought it would be almost private. NO! They had 12 people on the trip. 2. We got there at 6:50 as requested, we didn’t set off until 7:35. If we didn’t have 12 people and thus have to wait we would have left earlier. 3. We paid the extra money for the $108 trip that we thought would include two or three cool spots and instead we went so way far out we got to see whales which was cool but we didn’t get to go to the area I specifically paid the extra money to go to. So we saw whales and then snorkeled just off of the shore where we took off. Basically I paid entirely for a whale watching tour and to borrow a kayak while I snorkeled 100ft from shore. 4. I think people generally know they are supposed to tip and we did, but for that price I think they should pay their people more and expect less tip. 5. A random guy on our trip touched sea urchin, again less likely to happen on a small as promised max 8 person trip. As much as I want so badly to recommend them because John was great, I will not recommend this particular company to friends because of all mentioned above. My recommendation to them is to call and ask if we mind having more people on a busy day, hire more guides, and don’t deceive those paying money. When I started writing this it was going to be a 4 star then as I wrote I realized how it feels to be lied to and marked them down to a 3.

We had a great time kayaking with this company. We got to see two whales breaching and several sea turtles. Good paddling and snorkeling, although I would have liked a bit more time paddling (I think we had to come in a bit early because of rough seas.) I was relieved that the guide did not give us a difficult time having the woman in the back of the kayak and man in the front (this is a problem I often I have with touristic companies, even though I'm an experienced female kayaker.) Excellent trip: would do again.
