Manatee and Dolphin Kayaking | Haulover Canal (Titusville)

Overview
The Manatee and Dolphin kayak tour is one of our busiest kayaking trips and the #1 daytime outdoor activity in the Orlando Florida, Cocoa beach area. This location can see upward of 200+ manatee any given time so don't worry about "if" you'll see one, The question is how many will you see?! We offer you the chance to witness the Bottlenose Dolphin in the act of predation. We have a few places we frequently see dolphin preying on baitfish. It is not uncommon to witness these resident IRL Bottlenose Dolphin breech the waters surface out to their dorsal fin, LITERALLY, just feet from your S.O.T. kayak, while snapping at a Mullet in the air!! It is truly "a once in a lifetime tour" for our out of State/Country guests.

This experience gets filed in our top ten excursion experiences. We were well taken care of by Taylor, and saw more manatees and dolphins than expected-and they were close up. It’s a little off the beaten path. We want to return with grandchildren! The kayaking was easy and peaceful.

Zach took us on the Dolphin Manatee Kayaking tour and it was incredible. His knowledge and expertise made it special. I even got to "pet" a manatee. Will hopefully do it again someday and will request Zach.

The directions provided to us via email got us to exactly the place we needed to be. Taylor our guide was fantastic in dealing with the bazillion questions our 5&8 year old had regarding the dolphins swimming nearby. After the safety briefing, we made our way along the canal to the Manatee area, where Taylor mentioned the surroundings and the slow zone requirements in order to protect these amazing creatures. She was very knowledgable and our childfen were quickly put at ease when she described them as giant teddy bears! One of the teen manatees had a good amount of time alongside our kayak getting tummy strokes and head strokes. When we stopped, we got a few nudges to continue. It was an amazing experience. My kayak drifted into an area where the adults were getting a little frisky, resulting in both me and my daughter(5) getting absolutely soaked from a manatee tail splash. It was incredible! We then moved along the flats to more open water to catch glimpses of Dolphins in the area and Taylor explained about the local Gators and the difference between Crocs and Gators. It was an amazing experience to see these beautiful animals in the wild and I encourage anyone reading this, to go ahead and book!
