All manatee tours are 3 hours in duration.

What To Expect

Fun 2 Dive Manatee Tours

Arrive to our full service tour facility and gift shop located in the historical district of beautiful downtown Crystal River, Florida. All manatee tours are conducted daily, year round, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Choose the best tour option to fit your group's size, budget, and departure time. All manatee tours are 3 hours in duration and include all snorkeling gear (Mask, Snorkel, and Wetsuit) at no additional cost. Guides accompany guests into the water on all manatee tours to ensure the best possible experience for both man and manatee. The guide also takes pictures of your manatee encounter which are available for purchase at the conclusion of your tour. You will have an opportunity to view the up to 100 images captured during your experience.

Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge

The Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge provides a sanctuary for manatees both in summer and winter. You will enjoy observing them from both the boat and in the waters of the refuge.

Three Sisters Springs

In the winter Three Sisters Springs provides a safe haven for manatees escaping the cold temperatures of the Gulf of Mexico. As long as the temperatures are not too cold, guests may swim into Three Sisters Springs to observe the manatees.

We booked a 7 am tour which was recommended for the best photography. From the start this company made it clear that they were concerned with the manatee's welfare and we needed to respect the fact that we were entering the manatee's home. After watching a manatee viewing manners video, we were given wetsuits and snorkelling gear and headed to the boat. Our guides for the day were Captain Gavin and Storm. Captain Gavin took us to just the right spot to see plenty of manatees. Storm was active in the water trying to locate manatees, guiding us to them, taking tons of photos all while making sure we were safe and also that we were following the rules to not stress the manatees out. We had tons of manatees approach our group, swimming close to all of us, even giving some of us hugs as they swam past. All too soon, it was time to return to the boat where Gavin had hot chocolate and tea waiting for us to help us warm up. It was a truly amazing day, I definitely want to return and do this again!

Tour was very well organized, on time, and the guides were great. You could tell that the guides from Fun 2 Dive really cared about the animals and their habitat, and went out of their way to make sure we saw plenty of manatee, while still respecting the animals.

We had an incredible experience swimming with manatees. We did the 10am tour 1/12/25. I cannot say enough about our water guide Santa and Captain Brody! They were both very nice, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. I was hesitant to book at first due to it being 50 degrees, but it wasn’t bad at all. The wet suit helps, the boat has a canvas around it, and they have hot chocolate/tea when you get done. From start to finish, the process was seamless—check-in to check-out was a breeze. The entire experience was so much fun and educational! The team truly went above and beyond to make it special. I don’t usually write reviews, but they deserve all the praise! Our pictures turned out amazing as well, making this memory even more unforgettable. If you’re considering this adventure, don’t hesitate—book it! They are the absolute best!
