All manatee tours are 3 hours in duration.
Photo packages of your manatee experience available for purchase after your tour.

What To Expect

Fun 2 Dive Manatee Tours

Arrive to our full service tour facility and gift shop located in the historical district of beautiful downtown Crystal River, Florida. All manatee tours are conducted daily, year round, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Choose the best tour option to fit your group's size, budget, and departure time. All manatee tours are 3 hours in duration and include all snorkeling gear (Mask, Snorkel, and Wetsuit) at no additional cost. Guides accompany guests into the water on all manatee tours to ensure the best possible experience for both man and manatee. The guide also takes pictures of your manatee encounter which are available for purchase at the conclusion of your tour. You will have an opportunity to view the up to 100 images captured during your experience.

Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge

The Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge provides a sanctuary for manatees both in summer and winter. You will enjoy observing them from both the boat and in the waters of the refuge.

Three Sisters Springs

In the winter Three Sisters Springs provides a safe haven for manatees escaping the cold temperatures of the Gulf of Mexico. As long as the temperatures are not too cold, guests may swim into Three Sisters Springs to observe the manatees.

There are many companies that do this trip its overwhelming, however after much research went with Fun 2 Dive, and so glad we did, my daughter aged 13 and myself were so well looked after, highly recommend the smaller group of 6 people maximum, other groups were crowding and getting in the way of each other. Our captain Garrett and swim escort Ava, knew exactly where to go and give us a wonderful experience. There were only 5 manatees that we saw but later on we went out walking and kayaking and saw up to 70. The few that we saw in the water with us were very special. We were given lots of hot chocolate which was much appreciated and dispute being hardy Brits, used to coastal swims it was chilly. The boat had covers to keep the wind away. There is a photo package for $45 which is worth having. You get to see your photos afterwards back in the shop. Do go first thing no later than 7.30, as it gets busy. The earlier the better for this trip. You won't regret it!!

This was on my bucket list. I was not disappointed. Every one was nice and professional. We saw manatees right away. Our tour was @11 am and low tide. Water clarity was not as clear as i expected. Saw a mother and her baby that was nursing that was pretty amazing! Wet suit kept us warm. It was great being in a small group on the boat but there were plenty of other tour groups snorkeling and kayaking at the same time. Definitely worth the money.

Worth getting up early to be the among the first that morning. The water is the clearest at time of the morning. They came right up next to me When I came up out of the water, one was looking right at me. These gentle giants were so captivating. I could have stayed all day. We had a great time with Captain Garrett and Eli. I would come back and do it again. I'm a senior citizen and this is something others could probably do as well. Just dog paddle and hang on a knoodle.
