What can I say other than what an AMAZINg trip we had!
We choose an early trip (07:00) and as we were staying in the plantation Hotel, it was a short stroll to the Centre where we were introduced to Captain Jake, fitted for wet suits and where we watched a short safety/protocol video before heading out to look for Manatees.
It was sun up as we cast off and we spent some time looking for the elusive Manatees but when we finally saw the tell tales of Manatee activity, we were put into the water and we slowly approached a mother and her calf, which looked fantastic in their natural habitat, and what a delight.
Whilst the mother munched her way through the vegetation on the floor of the bay, her calf seemed to thoroughly enjoy swimming up to us and interacting with us - even nuzzling up to my wifeās face.
The photos I took with my iPhone were good, but Captain Jake took photos and videos of all of the experience with his Go Pro and the quality is wonderful!
We spent ages in the water, and never felt rushed.
All in all, it was a fantastic experience and if i could give 6 stars, I would!
Thanks so much
