Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview
Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers.  We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted.  Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

This was a great experience. Everyone at the shop was super welcoming and relaxed. the equipment and access to the mangroves was fantastic. Getting to paddle board into the mangroves was really a treat. We saw a manatee and an amazing little fish called a triple fin that floated on the surface and even inches away from us looked totally like a leaf. Sarah was a great guide. The four of us, two parents and two teenagers on paddle boards were paired with a great family of four from England in kayaks. Fun making new friends.

thanks for coming to visit us and thanks for taking the time to leave a review. seeing a triple tail is pretty rare around here as they usually prefer the deeper waters. that said, Sarah is the one who finds a lot of cool stuff. hope you can make it back one day.

We had a great trip with Mike. He was very knowledgeable about the area and was very receptive to any questions. We got rained on but it didn’t take away from the trip. He allowed us to use the kayaks a little longer since most of our trip it rained. It was a great experience. Thank you!

thanks for coming to visit us. glad the rain wasn't too hard for you. we did have a pretty big storm blow through this afternoon but Mike had made it back just before the bottom fell out.

This. Was. Cool. Our guide was Sarah and she was extremely knowledgeable and my 11 and 8 year olds really warmed to her. Highly recommend! The canal through the mangroves was fascinating and a great, very manageable adventure. We saw all sorts of wildlife above and below the water. Great!
