Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview

Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

We had a fantastic experience discovering the mangroves with Britney (sp). She was extremely knowledgeable, fun and friendly. We were able to spot manatee, nurse sharks, rays and so much more. We are looking forward to returning.

We had Susanne as our tour guide and she is phenomenal! We had the best time exploring the mangroves and learning about the ecology. She was a wealth of knowledge and taught us so much.

We had an amazing time kayaking the mangroves with Suzanne and her dog Slinky (my kids will never forget). She was so knowledgeable about the mangroves, flora and fauna, and made the 2h go by in a flash. We saw a manatee, lots of iguanas, fish, even a couple sharks. We also enjoyed seeing dogs coming to greet Slinky from the houses around the canals. Not to be missed!
