Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview

Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

My 14 yr old son and I had a blast! Susanne was amazing. After we got on the water my son (who refused to get in a double kayak with me) struggled to get moving. Susanne went back and gave him some quick instruction and a little pep talk, and he was on his way. This was awesome, because he definitely didn’t want to hear it from mom. Teens, you know? She was super informative, and we even seen a manatee! Great experience my son is still talking about weeks later.

My husband and I had a great time paddling through the mangroves! Saw some cool birds and paddled through a shady, wide tunnel.

Super cool paddle through the mangroves! Mike, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable, and all business when he needed to be. We went on a very windy day, but he kept us sheltered along the tree line and In the mangroves, and he expertly guided us through the swiftly running channel. Highly recommend this tour and PTK!
