Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview

Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

We had a wonderful time on this trip! We took our four year old daughter with us, and she had a blast! The staff was wonderful! I bought a protective phone bag at the last minute, and one kind woman opened the package for me while we got ready to board the kayak. She then helped me install my phone. Our guide was outstanding. He was kind, safety conscious, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Kayaking through the mangroves was lovely, and our daughter got to swim in the mangrove waterway. We got to see manatees and mangrove crabs. This was a great experience!

We had a great time with Suzanne ! She took the time to travel down a canal so our son could see a manatee for his birthday !!! Was so cool to have it swim right under our kayaks ! Was a great experience, so cool to be in the mangroves ! Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Manatees were fun and the mangroves are awesome. Our tour guide Brittney was very informative and patient.
