Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview

Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

Super fun, if you like paddle boarding I’d highly recommend doing so. Getting to see all the animals and going through the mangroves was awesome!

We had such a great time with Brittney heading the tour! I felt she couldn't wait to share all her wildlife and ecosystem knowledge. Kayaked a bit to get to a mangrove trail. Great experience. At the end of this trail, was a swimming hole where most of us took a refreshing dip. The best experience of the trip was seeing a manatee when we left the mangrove trail. We were able to kayak close and watch this manatee munch away on some vegetation. Brittney took pictures of all of us along the way and a video of the manatee. A great experience! Do not miss this opportunity.

Awesome experience. Our guide was so impressive. She shared a great deal of knowledge about the mangroves and the overall ecosystem of not only the Keys but Florida as well. Everyone in our group loved the experience and would do it again.
