Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview
Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers.  We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted.  Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

Becka was great - very knowledgeable & personable. The water level was high making it difficult to navigate mangrove limbs. Only saw 2 birds, no manatees or any other wildlife -current a little challenging.

Kayaking through the mangroves was a new experience for my group. Brittany was our tour guide and she was very sweet and helpful. My husband lost his Costa sunglasses and she told him she would go back with googles to try and find them. The mangroves are a beautiful was to kayak, we can't wait to do it again and again.

Keith took us on a wonderful tour of the mangroves! We saw spiny lobster, nurse shark and Ibis but no manatee (despite his best efforts to find their favorite spots for us). Paddling through the mangroves was both and exciting and peaceful. I would have been anxious going into the tight passages without Keith’s obvious expertise and abundance of knowledge which he shared throughout the trip. Even though none of us were new to paddling we took their suggestion to use double kayaks for a more enjoyable shared experience. Everyone at Paddle the Keys was kind and helpful, a well run business. Definitely recommend and I would do this same tour again!
