Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview
Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers.  We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted.  Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

So hard to pick a favorite. The amount of wild life we saw was amazing (sharks, manatees, tons of fish and huge iguanas)! Our guide Steve was extremely informative and truly has a passion for what he does.

We had a great time kayaking through the mangrove tunnels. Our guide Betsy was great, she pointed out many different animals. We had the opportunity to swim in a swimming hole deep in the mangroves which was really cool. We were so happy to have taken the guided tour (instead of self guided) because we probably wouldn't have seen 1/10 of what we saw with out the tour guide. Next time we are down in the area, I want to go on the evening or night tour.

This was the best kayak trip I have ever been on! Our guide, Betsy, was very hospitable and knowledgeable about the Keys. A highlight for me was seeing all the different animals. We saw iguanas, nurse sharks, baby barracudas, pelicans, herons, etc. If we hadn't had a guide, I'm not sure that we would have been able to see or identify any of these animals, so I was glad she was there to point them out.
