Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview

Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

We had a great experience with Paddle the Florida Keys! We did the 2-hour mangrove tour. The mangrove forest was amazing, a beautiful ecosystem. We were able to see a couple of sea turtles, nurse sharks, cassiopea, small tarpon, and many other small fish and marine life. Our tour guide, Steve, was the best. He was always on the lookout for wildlife, explaining the ecosystem to us, and making it an awesome experience. It was obvious he has a passion for this area. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Keys.
