Step aboard the teak decks of elegant 1920s style yachts, Manhattan or Manhattan II, and enjoy a 2.75 hour cruise while learning about NYC's architectural landmarks from the water. The "Around Manhattan" tour narration, provided by members of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) NYC chapter, is general enough for visitors yet detailed enough for the locals.
Experience a comfortable and unique tour through the Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers from a glassed-in observatory cabin, which has sliding windows for a fresh breeze, or wander to an open bow for more unobstructed views of the surrounding sites. On this cruise, guests will circumnavigate the island of Manhattan, passing under all 18 bridges, while taking in monuments, architecture, parks and infrastructure with narration throughout the cruise.

Guarantee of a full circumnavigation of Manhattan is not included. On rare occasions, the Spuyten Duyvil train bridge is inoperable and cannot open for us to pass through. This is often times not known until our tour is underway. River closures may also occur for a number of reasons. There are no refunds for tours that cannot fully circumnavigate. We will accommodate such cases with a tour that features a double backing of the route and further detail of the waterfront sites.

Very enjoyable and interesting tour of Manhattan. Our boat, the Manhattan I, with its beautiful, immaculately clean and spacious interior complete with a glass roof and snacks/beverages made for a comfortable tour . Very interesting to see Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, NJ, Governor's Island, Roosevelt Island, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty from the water. Our American Institute of Architecture guide was very, very knowledgeable and entertaining as well--who could have guessed there is so much NYC history packed into the bridges, tunnels, harbors, piers et al. surrounding NYC. Highly recommend this tour.

Went on the Architecture Yacht Cruise and it was everything I hoped it would be and more! The architect who spoke the entire cruise was interesting and informative. The advantage of seeing buildings from the water was so much better than walking down the street and looking up. The boat itself was spotless and the snacks provided (wine, champagne included) were a lovely spread of pita, hummus, olives and stuffed grape leaves. Was expecting pretzels and crackers! Such a relaxing time, will book again for another cruise.

New to NY I found the tour very rewarding. The weather was great. Our guide was wonderful. Even if you've lived in the area I highly recommend the tour. One improvement would to serve bottled water to those guests who don't drink alcohol instead of water in a small plastic cup.
