Manhattan Architecture Yacht Cruise

Overview
Step aboard the teak decks of elegant 1920s style yachts, Manhattan or Manhattan II, and enjoy a 2.75 hour cruise while learning about NYC's architectural landmarks from the water. The "Around Manhattan" tour narration, provided by members of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) NYC chapter, is general enough for visitors yet detailed enough for the locals.
Experience a comfortable and unique tour through the Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers from a glassed-in observatory cabin, which has sliding windows for a fresh breeze, or wander to an open bow for more unobstructed views of the surrounding sites. On this cruise, guests will circumnavigate the island of Manhattan, passing under all 18 bridges, while taking in monuments, architecture, parks and infrastructure with narration throughout the cruise.

Important note: select departures on Friday afternoons will focus on Climate Change in and around New York City. Please call the operator directly for questions on the tour theme.

I took the Architectural Tour on Saturday morning with Doug, Yuri et al. It was excellent - the almost constant narration was hugely educative. There is just so much to see and the maps provided are very helpful. Towards the end of the tour, Doug gave a few insights into growing up on the Upper West Side which were very illuminating. The views from the boat are outstanding and the complimentary drink was the icing on the cake. I'd take the tour again tomorrow if I could. Thank you.

What an amazing adventure! The views of Manhattan, New Jersey and the surrounding boroughs were up close and personal. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative and peppered in some fun humor. The rest of the staff were so welcoming and professional...they were a great crew! The glass roof and comfy bench seats were the perfect cozy way to see so much of the city while sipping on a beverage. We loved getting pics with Lady Liberty and had a great trip.

Wonderful tour! The ship is beautiful and comfortable; passengers are seated at tables indoors, with the option to walk out on the deck. The crew is friendly and accommodating, and our guide, Doug, did a terrific job of sharing information and answering our questions. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary glass of sparkling wine and the quality of the snacks available for purchase, which sufficed as our lunch. The only downside was people chatting near us, making it difficult to hear the commentary, but a crew member solved it by moving us to another table. We highly recommend this experience!
