This is not a private tour. Shared flights require a minimum of 2-4 passengers to operate and may be cancelled if minimum is not met.
Flights depart and arrive at Westchester County Airport in White Plains, a relaxed crowd-free location just outside NYC easily accessed by public transit (Metro-North rail from Grand Central Terminal) or car (free parking).
Convenient roundtrip transfers are available from anywhere in Manhattan for additional fee (if option selected).
2-3 passengers fly in Robinson R44 helicopter, 4-6 passengers fly in Airbus helicopter.
Maximum weight 250 lbs (113 kg) per person and 500 lbs (226 kg) combined in 2-passenger R44 helicopter. Maximum passenger height in R44 helicopter is 6 ft 3 in (192 cm).
Maximum weight 1000 lbs (453 kg) combined in 5-passenger Airbus helicopters.
Children younger than 2 years may ride on their parent’s lap at no cost. Under 18 requires parental or guardian consent.

The pilot arrived late and we miss sunset view of Manhattan. It was dark, at night. Most of the ride wasn't over New York. The pilot was friendly but the tour was so poor because he was late and because of the limited time over Manhattan. We don't recommend this tour. Better take of at the city to get more over Manhattan. The pilot arriving late ruined our sunset view. I wasn't see the city, because of my window. I thought the pilot must turning over at some point to everyone has the best view, but he didn't. He just left the city as soon as he arrived at New York.

We are sorry to hear that this was your impression. For a sunset tour you should have booked 8 PM and not 8:30 PM because the sun was already down at 8:23 that day. Night flights are just as beautiful, if not more, as evidenced by our many 5 star reviews and the photo you uploaded. By the way there are no helicopter tours departing from Manhattan after 6 PM. You forgot to mention that you got upgraded to a private tour from the shared tour you originally booked.

My wife and I had an amazing time flying with Wings Air Helicopters Charter. We departed from White Plains and journeyed towards Manhattan on what was one of the most amazing experiences. Seeing New York from that perspective, while flying with a first class pilot and serviced by an amazing team at Wings Air, made us feel so special on our anniversary. Thanks Wings Air for a first class experience.
