The hike was a wonderful getaway from the busy waikiki environment. While the hike was at an incline all the way through on rocks and mud and wet terrain, the hike was at a comfortable pace and was never rushed and catered to the ability of the group and the group was very adaptable. The waterfall and the lush surrounding were a sight to see at the end of the hike up. Our tour guide David/Kavika (or is it Kawika, sorry) was very knowledgeable about the area and its history. He prepared us on our hike by recommending and sharing a bug spray which definitely was a must and greatly appreciated. At the end of the tour he provided us with really sweet pineapple slices and water/gatorade to wind down. He even dropped me off at my next planned attraction, a true hawaiian hospitality.

David was informative and knew the park and its history. The Monoa Water Fall was beautiful and the trail was a moderate hike. Our family enjoyed the scenery and appreciated its beauty. We highly recommend the tour if your interested in learning about the history & plants.
