In Kona our visitors have the rare treat to experience a Manta Night Snorkel. The occurrence of an accumulation of plankton off of the shoreline makes for an incredible Night Manta Snorkel show that you get to be a part of. Like all of our tours we treat the Manta Night Snorkel with respect by not disturbing these gentle giants in their habitat. We abide by the established Manta Ray Tour Operators Guidelines. It is a privilege for us to take you on this trip and we do not take it for granted. The experience of seeing these massive gentle creatures in the wild is exhilarating. What's Included

Light snack, juice and water, plus a nice warm fresh water shower. Snorkel gear, fins, mask, flotation devices and wet suits are also included. We decided to try a smaller outfit this visit rather than the larger party-type boats and it was a good choice. These guys are very professional and fun. Our first trip was a morning snorkel trip with Captain Dan and (almost Mermaid!) Tiana. Manta Adventure boat trips leave a bit earlier than other outfits and they get the best spots for snorkeling. Unlike other outfits, Tiana stayed in the water with us and pointed out sea life we probably would have missed. We enjoyed this trip so much, we booked for the night Manta Snorkel. It was really amazing! Captain Bill and Gabe manned this trip. They provide all of the gear needed, and Gabe stayed in the water with us. As soon as he spotted incoming Mantas, he would quietly let us know. They use a rig made of PVC pipes and a float with lights to attract the plankton to the surface. The huge Mantas come right up to the floating rigs and swallow plankton directly under the float. It's hard to explain the amazing experience! Manta Tours has great respect for the ecology of the ocean, and are very knowledgeable. I wouldn't recommend the Manta tour for young children since you have to be still and float quietly for about 45-minutes.

We recently took a nighttime Manta Ray excursion with Manta Adventures and loved it. The Crew, Gabe, Bill and Aaron were so cool and very fun to be with. The boat is new and super nice. What we liked most was their attention to safety. We saw at least six other boats in the area where we got into the water, and all the boats were packed with people. How safe can that be? We only had 14 guests and three crew. I felt so much safer because those other boats looked like a disaster waiting to happen. Plus, you weren't running into people and fighting for a place to sit. We liked this company so much we booked a second trip with them four days later.

The crew was very friendly and accommodating. They cut up pineapple for us and provided us with all of our gear. The warm shower afterwards was wonderful. We saw so many manta rays!!! Highly recommend this company.
