Head out in Kona, one of the best places in the world to see mantas, to see the sunset over the water before jumping in to enjoy swimming with manta rays in their underwater nighttime realm. "Manta safari" guides escort you around the site with a mobile light show that attracts these gentle and fascinating creatures. Relax on the observation deck with unobstructed viewing and plenty of room to move around. All snorkel equipment, including flotation devices and wetsuits, is included.

Jan 1- March 31 departure time is 5:30PM and 8:30pm April 1- September 31 departure time is 6PM and 9pm, October 1- December 31 departure time is 5PM and 8pm. You will be placed where there is availability. Please call 24 hours prior to confirm departure time.

We did the 5PM tour which is the best because you get to see the sunset over the horizon while you are sailing out to the manta rays. After sunset, the real show begins. We saw several manta rays and I was blown away by how close they get to you. And the barrel rolls they did right in front of us felt like a private show! The crew were all amazing and ensured that we (and the animals) were safe at all times. This was definitely our highlight in Kona!

Once you’re in the water and relaxed,the Manta Rays we’re amazing. There was plenty of Manta Rays swimming around underneath us and coming up close and swimming upside down to feed.
