We chose this company because of a recommendation from the Hawaii Revisited travel guide. We elected to go on the 8:00 night Manta Ray Snorkel, and loved the time spent watching the rays. There were lots of them and we feel that the trip was worth the money from that standpoint. There were some aspects of the trip that missed the mark. First of all, the “wetsuits” were really shirts and not a step- in singlet. Luckily, I
brought my own; my husband was on the chilly side. Secondly, clients are told that you do not need to know how to swim, which is technically true. But some of the crew the night we were there were impatient with people who were struggling to get in and out of the water. Maybe the darkness made it confusing for people who were unfamiliar with deep water and snorkel gear. We wondered if some of the crew just wanted to get home after a long day. In summary, we felt safe and enjoyed the snorkel, but there may be a few employees who need to work on PR skills, and maybe this isn’t the best choice for those who are non- swimmers.
