We chose this company because of a recommendation from the Hawaii Revisited travel guide. We elected to go on the 8:00 night Manta Ray Snorkel, and loved the time spent watching the rays. There were lots of them and we feel that the trip was worth the money from that standpoint. There were some aspects of the trip that missed the mark. First of all, the “wetsuits” were really shirts and not a step- in singlet. Luckily, I brought my own; my husband was on the chilly side. Secondly, clients are told that you do not need to know how to swim, which is technically true. But some of the crew the night we were there were impatient with people who were struggling to get in and out of the water. Maybe the darkness made it confusing for people who were unfamiliar with deep water and snorkel gear. We wondered if some of the crew just wanted to get home after a long day. In summary, we felt safe and enjoyed the snorkel, but there may be a few employees who need to work on PR skills, and maybe this isn’t the best choice for those who are non- swimmers.

We arrived on time. One boat was having problems, and did not go out canceling half the other peoples tour. This was understandable, but my Son who was locked out of the car left his left over plate on the ground next to the truck when we returned to the truck someone had shoved the plate under our back window while unlocking the hood of the vehicle pushed in our mirror and pulled out our windshield wipers. Mildly funny except these are my children at 11:30 pm at night on a highway. I’m glad we did not die. Lastly we had to tow another boat back in taking twice as long and I still tipped. That being said seeing mantas was epic.

We had a great night as upon our entry into the water there were at least eight mantas ready already performing for other boats in the area. The company had some technical difficulties with the tour previous tour so it delayed our launch. Communication could have been better as we waited almost an hour and didn’t leave until around 8:30. But all in all it was worth it. The crew was great and we had a really positive experience.
