Ensure a manta ray sighting on this 2.5-hour night tour. Head out in Kona, one of the best places in the world to see mantas, to see the sunset over the water before jumping in to enjoy swimming with manta rays in their underwater nighttime realm. "Manta safari" guides escort you around the site with a mobile light show that attracts these gentle and fascinating creatures. Jan 1- March 31 departure time is 5:30PM and 8:30pm April 1- September 31 departure time is 6PM and 9pm, October 1- December 31 departure time is 5PM and 8pm. You will be placed where there is availability. Please call 24 hours prior to confirm departure time.

This was my third time going diving with the manta rays, the other times were with other companies. I highly recommend it as an activity, but DO NOT go with this company. They pack the boat with so many people you can barely move. Their equipment is substandard. They have the wrong kind of lights that don't attract the manta rays as well as other companies with better lights. While we were in the water they didn't have enough lights to fully light up all the boards, so they actually took half the lights off of our board to move onto another. After they moved them we no longer had any mantas come near us. The boards were not well connected so they told the customers to try to hold them together straight. Worst experience ever.

This is a MUST do on the Island! We booked via Hawaii Discount with Ocean Encounters. I highly recommend them. They are super professional, very friendly and fun :) The experience is amazing.
