We were a group of 5 friends. When we got to the tour bus at the island, the bus was full and 3 of us had to ride a mini van. I’ve ridden many tours and didn’t like the fact that the bus was overbooked and had to separate our group.

Thank you for the review. I apologize for the separation of your group, though I am not sure how that could have happened if you were all together. Just to clarify, we certainly were not overbooked. We often work with other tour companies on the island to accommodate our guests. We know exactly how many are coming and how many guests choose to take the tour. If you purchase a three hour from us, you will receive a 3 hour tour on schedule. The term overbooked implies that we did not provide a tour for someone that purchased it. Every partner that we work with has professional tour guides that do the same thing that we do. Some guests actually prefer the smaller vehicle as opposed to the larger bus. By calling it a mini-van you are being a bit misleading. It is a 14 passenger Ford Transit and not a mini-van by any stretch of the imagination. We also only put 10 to 12 guests on the transit vans to prevent our guests from feeling overcrowded. Again, I am sorry that you felt disappointed. Sincerely, Stephen M. When I asked the tour driver (Tom Scott) to clarify a statement, he snapped, “If everyone is listening, u will hear what I say! I was listening…. It was his accent and speaking-speed that we had a hard time distinguishing. The info was very interesting, just rushed through. Heard about Obama living there for 7 years, way too many times! Driver yelled out the window and yelled at a bike rider crossing the street… Ridiculous. View of tour was great! Ferry was awesome both ways.

Thank you for the 5 star review. Tom is an amazing guide. It his defense, it can be difficult sometimes to give a tour if guests are talking in the background. Tom did tell me that a bike rider cut in front of his bus that day. Perhaps if he wasn't such an experienced driver this could have been a much worse situation. I am glad that you enjoyed your day enough to still give us a 5 star review. Thank you for sharing your experience. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
