When we got off the ferry, we stopped to use the restroom as the one on the ferry was out of order. We then immediately went to look for our shuttle for the 3 hour tour and the shuttle had already left us! Luckily there was a lady standing there who worked for another tour company who could help us contact the owner of our original shuttle. We were not able to get on our original shuttle, but offered a ticket for a 2.5 hour bus tour.

Hello and thank you for the review. I do apologize for our tour bus leaving. It is always best to check in with the guide to let him know that you are there. (our guides mention that on the way to the ferry as well) You need to remember that this is a shared group and not a private tour. Tom waited 15 minutes for your party with 17 other guests already onboard. He did not see anyone in sight as the ferry had emptied and everyone had already dispersed. As soon as we were made aware of the situation which was 22 minutes after the ferry docked, we did our best to get you onboard a tour so that you could see the island. Once again, my apologies. Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

Kevin pointed out points of interest while driving from Boston to Cape Cod where we caught the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The ferry ride was very smooth. The need to go upstairs and then downstairs to disembark from the ferry was annoying--it would be best to ride on the top level--weather permitting. Once we reached Martha's Vineyard we took the 3 hour tour and Tom was our guide. He has lived on the island his entire life and is very knowledgeable about the island, who lives there, and what happens throughout the year. His and his wife's families have lived on the island for hundreds of years on the same land. Since the towns are rather small, the 20-25 minute stops were adequate. Tom was able to answer all of our questions and provide a resident's perspective regarding life on the Island.

Thank you for taking the time to write this 5 Star Review of our Martha's Vineyard day trip. I am very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time with both Kevin and Tom. They are both great at what they do. Sorry about the ferry, as this is out of our control. We do switch over to a different ferry service from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day weekend. Going up and down the stairs is not necessary on our summer ferry service. Thank you again for choosing to spend a day with us! Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
