We had a great day out on this tour. The highlight was the optional 3 hour trip around the island with Tom as our driver and guide. He was amazing with a wealth of local knowledge and anecdotes. Tom has lived on the island all his life and I doubt you’d ever find someone more qualified to lead this tour. Thanks Tom!

Thank you for the EXCELLENT 5 Star review! A day trip from Boston To Martha's Vineyard is certainly a wonderful way to spend a day of your Boston vacation. You are 100% correct when you state that you'd never find someone more qualified to tour the island with. On behalf of Tom and everyone at New England Trips we thank you for spending the day with us. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

First of all, this was day 3 of our trip and I was tired. But, it was our 29th wedding anniversary, so I was excited to spend the day at a unique location with my husband. It was our first visit. We were picked up at 6:20 by Elaine. Elaine is very nice and I love her accent. It was a little too early in the morning for me to be responsive much less attentive, but I appreciate her cheery demeanor. Her accent is authentic! She gave us our envelope with our tickets, however, she didn't mention the free water and muffins and a map. So we learned that later after the trip had already started. We arrived on time to the ferry. It was a beautiful morning and it was a nice trip. Elaine had given us great tips, like to use the bathroom on the boat instead of thinking to wait when it stopped. And also not to eat during the excursions of the tour. wait until that was over so that the tour would not be behind, etc. The driver, Anthony, held the logoed sign for us to effectively find the bus. He was nice, however, I was expecting a native, Bostonian. Anthony is from Jamaica so it took awhile for me to get used to his accent. He was very knowledgeable about the island, and he had many stories to tell. However, again, I was very tired, so the constant narration during sometimes no-man's land was just.....too much. I really don't like tours where you see just entrances of the places---not the buildings itself, and I got to the point where I just got tired of hearing about the Kennedy's. Edgartown was a quaint area. And Gay Head was a beautiful view. I would have appreciated if Anthony would have been handy to take photos of couples, like us. It's hard to ask people and it would be a nice gesture. But he kinda disappeared. Not that I was looking for him, however, he wasn't at the Gay Head view to make the offer. We got back to our starting point; I didn't know that we could have taken the Martha's Vineyard metro bus to get to, say, Edgartown. We were given two discount cards for restaurants. One was for one that was closed for the season and the other was a quaint place, but overcrowded with football fans for any tourists to be in the place. We found a spot and walked around. I'm glad we went, but Martha's Vineyard wasn't what I was expecting. We could have rented bikes and rode around; however, again, being day 3 of our Boston trip, my legs were already spent by walking so much. No one wished us a happy anniversary. That would have been nice touch, as well.

First of all , Happy Anniversary! I'm not sure that anyone was made aware of the fact that it was your anniversary. Anthony is from Jamaica, but a wonderful tour guide just the same, with as much if not more knowledge than a lot of islanders. Most tour guides do stay with their bus when guests are out of it to watch over guests belongings. Perhaps you would have enjoyed this tour a bit more if it was on day one of your visit, as it is a very long day. Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

Very nice tour. Bus driver/tour guide was great. The added 3 hour tour of the Island was nice and very informative. Wish we would have had more time to spend in Edgartown which was lovely and less time in Oak Bluffs which was a bit of a disappointment. Edgartown had much nicer shops but we only had enough time to go in a couple.

Thank you for the VERY NICE 4 star review. Since our tour is just 3 hours with a lot to see, we are limited how much time we can spend in one town. Remember, you did have about 2 and a half hours of free time after the tour and you certainly could have taken a taxi or bus back to Edgartown if you had wished to. (10-15 minutes away by taxi) Thank you again for taking the time to review us. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
