Viator used New England Tours for this trip. Good choice! Hurricane Dorian was making her way up the coast. We wondered if our trip would happen. Steve of New England Tours was communicating with the ferries and Coast Guard and our guides to ensure our safety. Ultimately we boarded and had a great tour. The decision was made to have us leave on an earlier ferry to ensure we did not have several days stay on Martha's! At no time did we feel unsafe. While on the island, our guide Tom gave a memorable tour. As a native he described the positives and negatives of island life. Several times he said, "when you return to the United States" (as if Martha's Vineyard was a country of her own)! This illustrated his love and pride of the island. Great day!

Thank you for the GREAT 5 star review and choosing to spend your day with New England Trips! As always, our guests safety is our top priority. We also realize that many of our guests have come an awfully long way and want to see Martha's Vineyard. We would NEVER risk safety just to get a trip in. If we are confident and 100% sure it is safe to make the trip we will make the adjustments we have to, when necessary, so that our guests get to check one off their bucket list! Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

We've used Viator for several trips in Europe and they've always been well arranged, this is no exception. We were picked up on time and taken to Falmouth for the ferry, there was water and snacks on the minibus but we also stopped en route for coffee and a comfort break. Ferry journey was fine and you can sit outside or in. We chose the optional tour and glad we did as we felt there was not six hours worth of stuff to do at the ferry port. . The island tour was narrated by Sam who shared interesting personal stories as well as island facts and figures. We also saw some of the locations where Jaws was filmed. We arrived back at the port with enough time to walk around the gingerbread houses and grab an enjoyable lunch at Nancy's The day is about 12 hours long but went by quickly.

Thank you for this fantastic 5 star review of our Martha's Vineyard day trip. Having been born and raised here, I have taken numerous day trips to Martha's Vineyard from Boston throughout my life. When putting this trip together for Boston visitors in 2011, I envisioned it to be as my day trips were growing up. Now, as Boston's ORIGINAL Martha's Vineyard day trip and the #1 day trip service to the island our guests get to share a wonderfully similar experience. Sincerely, Stephen M. This was the highlight of our Boston trip, and we did several tours. Very well orchestrated with timing, amenities, etc. We are so glad that we did the optional island tour. We learned so much in the 3 hours that we would never have gotten on our own; so much to know about the geography, history, climate, and more.
