Went to Martha’s Vineyard on a dreary day late in the season but the trip was excellent due to to the skill and knowledge of the two drivers we had during the day. We learned much on the way to the ferry from our first guide. She set the stage for what we experienced on the island. Our island guide was a native and has a perfect perspective of what Martha’s Vineyard is all about. He had intimate knowledge of all of the villages on the island, and the fact that residents don’t allow modernization on the island. There are almost no solar panels or even electric cars seen while on the island although we heard concerns about global warming causing problems on the island. The foliage on all the trees was beautiful and the shops that were open were very nice as we had time to walk through them on the tour. I highly recommend this tour. You will learn so much about the history of this place as you get to see why so many people seek to visit during the summer.

Thank you for this EXCELLENT 5 star review of Boston's ORIGINAL Martha's Vineyard Day trip. I am very happy to hear how much that you enjoyed your time with our guides. All of our guides are amazing at what they do and take great pride in the service that they provide our guests. I'm also glad that you got to see some foliage as it's a beautiful time of year in New England. We all appreciate your HIGH RECOMMENDATION. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Enjoyed touring Martha’s Vineyard however, be aware that the main tour ($110) basically includes the ferry fees and transportation to and from the ferry location . The optional tour of the island is an additional $55. While it was a good tour, I would have liked for it to go somewhat slower and make a couple of more stops. Jennifer and Bon were great…both were very knowledgeable, friendly and patient .

Thank you for the review. I am not sure exactly what you mean by "be aware" as $110 for the (2) 80 mile bus rides and roundtrip ferry tickets is extraordinarily inexpensive. I am quite sure that you could not find more convenient, less expensive transportation to the island (and this includes a professional guide bringing you to the ferry). I am glad that you enjoyed your time with Jennifer and your island tour. Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

It was a modified school bus that took us around martha’s vineyard. A lot of stores were closed. No instruction that lunch would be at end of tour. At late october, should be an earlier boat back to woods hole cuz nothing to do in vineyard haven.

Thank you for the review. I apologize if you did not enjoy the trip as much as most. The island tour vehicle is the same vehicle that produces 5 star review after 5 star review all season long. It's kind of ironic that a couple days ago another guest's review stated that they did not have enough time on the island. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. All we can do is try our best! Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
