Your tour of Martha’s Vineyard begins the quaint town of Vineyard Haven on the island's north coast. Famous for its gorgeous coastline and historic towns, there’s so much to see on this beautiful island! Your tour will take you along the Vineyard's eastern coast, where all the island's top attractions can be found.

Flying Horses Carousel

The Flying Horses Carousel is a totally unique landmark. It's the oldest operating platform carousel in the country, having been built in 1876. In the early days, the horses on this ride sported real horse hair! The carousel is still in operation today, though it has been updated for comfort and safety.

Cottage Museum

The Cottage Museum is a one-of-a-kind museum and gift shop offering more information about the origins of the Gingerbread Houses and the people who built them. Here, you'll also find all kinds of souvenirs. Whether you're in the market for sterling silver charms, toys, calendars, or postcards, this combination museum and gift shop has you covered.

Inkwell Beach

Inkwell Beach, situated on the eastern side of Oak Bluffs, is a small and pretty beach with a bit of an unsavory past. In the early to mid 1900s, Martha's Vineyard beaches were fully segregated. As a result, beaches like this one were underfunded and generally left in disrepair by local authorities. Today, however, all of that has changed.

Lighthouse Beach

On Lighthouse Beach, you'll enjoy a pristine sandy beach, gentle surf, and a picture-perfect New England lighthouse. It's a great spot to pause, picnic, and snap that perfect photo from your trip. While you're here, you'll also get a bit of background on that lighthouse.

Audio did not work for first half. Many of the “stops” were in the middle of a busy street. Interesting but if i have to read and drive, I would buy a book.

Pretty unusual because once you download the app and tour, you need to go to the starting point where the app will take over. I want to know more about the issue you faced. Could you please contact me asap? I also have 100 other self-guided tours for other parks, scenic drives, cities, and historic sites in the US — hopefully, you’ll get the chance to try them next time! Also, to remind you, the tour you bought is yours for a lifetime. So, you can listen to it at home or on your next visit.

Let people know that the town is pretty much shut down in October. Very few restaurants were open. Nothing to do except wait the 6 hours to return to Boston. The trip by van is 2 hours to get to the ferry (which isn't mentioned prior to purchase) and 2.5 hours to return to your hotel. You are stuck on the island until your designated return ferry time with nothing to do.

The app did not work- kept skipping around- never knew where we were- complete waste of money. Either do a tour or buy a Martha’s Vineyard guidebook and map.

Martha’s Vineyard has a poor cell signal. Did you try it in the offline state (airplane mode)? I have created the offline state (airplane mode) to help folks whose phones experience poor GPS due to weather or other reasons. I talk about it in the second audio story, in the menu, and on the help page. I will happily exchange the tour for one of the 100 other tours I have in the US. Please let me know.
