This tour was amazing! The King History Tour takes your mind to a different era in time. It seamlessly weaves you through the history of MLK, the Civil Rights Movement, and Atlanta. Having lived in Atlanta for over 25 years, I was impressed with the amount of knowledge that I gained from taking the tour. In a day and age where there is so much negativity and violence in the media, it was so inspiring to embrace the message of MLK, “Love is the most durable power in the world.” A must do for locals and visitors!

It’s amazing how long I have lived in Atlanta and I never knew about the rich and vibrant history! We all know MLK as the most visible leader of the civil rights movement and a fantastic orator. Thanks to Akila for her enthusiastic personality and interesting stories of his personal and professional life. I felt as if I was transported back in time for a brief moment. I plan to visit the King Center on my own time with a better sense of the Old Fourth Ward. I highly recommend this tour, even if you are only in town for a short period of time. You will not be disappointed!

I took this tour with my mom and daughter. This tour was such an unexpected surprise. Our guide Akila was so knowledgeable and kept us engaged the entire time. I live in Atlanta and learned so much about my community that I never knew. I will never look at Atlanta the same. The tour is stroller friendly, and great for all generations. Whether you're visiting or an Atlanta native this tour will not disappoint!
