Great product, we bought the entire Maui package and used 3 tours. All were spot on navigation with good notification of upcoming points of interest or navigation instructions. Very entertaining and informative. All the tours were great but I especially recommend it for the road to Hana. It was exponentially more enjoyable and safe thanks to our wonderful tour guide via the app. My only challenge was getting the sound to work in our rental car. For some reason, we had to shut down and reopen the app each time we got back in the car to get the sound to work. No problem at all once we figured it out. And because the app uses geolocation, it always picks back up exactly where appropriate in the tour.

I downloaded and purchased the bundled set of Maui driving itineraries. This app was excellent. Without it, we would have missed so many cool spots that only the locals know about. Lots of interesting facts and trivia. We traversed the entire island using the Shaka Maui app. The music was excellent too. Totally put us in the Hawaiin mindset. Tip: it does use up a lot of battery so make sure you have your phone on low power mode and keep the screen turned off. Also, our rental car did not have Apple Car Play. I had packed an adapter that plugged into the auxiliary of the car to enable us to listen via the stereo system. You might want to pack an auxiliary adapter too. Highly recommend this app for the self-drive traveler.
