Overview

All riders must be 36 inches or taller to participate/ride submarine.

Dive 100 feet below the surface and experience Maui’s marine treasures off beautiful Lahaina with Atlantis Submarines Maui. A special added bonus of this tour experience is seeing the spectacular West Maui Mountains while riding our shuttle boat to the Maui dive site.

Stingray, yellow tang, eel, parrotfish, bluefin trevally, and an array of other marine species are seen regularly at the dive site. See firsthand how the Carthaginian, a sunken 19th century whaling brig, has combined with Mother Nature to create a fascinating artificial reef to attract and support marine life of all sizes, shapes and colors.

Total tour time is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. Actual underwater tour time is 45 minutes
Children must be 36 inches or taller to ride the submarine
Infants are not permitted on the submarine.

It was really cool to go down 124 feet and see the ocean floor and natural habitat. The viewing window was cloudy so the marine life couldn’t be appreciated in it’s true colors. Loved seeing the reef sharks, yellow tang and identifying the varied fishes. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The narrator had a great sense of humor. Enjoyed watching the submarine emerge before we boarded. The views of the harbor are spectacular.

We're glad you enjoyed your overall experience of exploring 100 feet deep under the sea with us in one of our state-of-the-art submarines. It is true, at depths past 50 feet, a phenomenon called "color absorption" occurs. This means that fish and coral that would have bright colors near the surface take on a more dull hue, and often everything will appear blue. However, this is just a perk of getting to see the ocean at depths you wouldn't normally get to experience. I have shared your comment regarding the cloudy view port with our leadership team. Fantastic experience. Excellent visibility today. Got to see all kinds of fish including sharks and stingray. Fantastic coral reef. The sunken ship is fantastic. The best part of the whole experience was definitely the captain of the submarine who had us in stitches with his self professed dad jokes :p
