Overview

All riders must be 36 inches or taller to participate/ride submarine.

Dive 100 feet below the surface and experience Maui’s marine treasures off beautiful Lahaina with Atlantis Submarines Maui. A special added bonus of this tour experience is seeing the spectacular West Maui Mountains while riding our shuttle boat to the Maui dive site.

Stingray, yellow tang, eel, parrotfish, bluefin trevally, and an array of other marine species are seen regularly at the dive site. See firsthand how the Carthaginian, a sunken 19th century whaling brig, has combined with Mother Nature to create a fascinating artificial reef to attract and support marine life of all sizes, shapes and colors.

Our air-conditioned, comfortable submarine interiors offer large viewing ports, which allow guests to relax and enjoy the amazing wonders of the deep. Passengers must be capable of ascending and descending a near vertical ladder on their own to board the submarine
Total tour time is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. Actual underwater tour time is 45 minutes
Children must be 36 inches or taller to ride the submarine
Infants are not permitted on the submarine.

Outstanding trip, saw white tipped shark, spotted eagle ray, moray eel and puffer fish. On the shuttle ride back, captain took a small detour to show us a competition pod of four humpback whales. Really above and beyond.

This was a perfect way to get out on the water and observe sea life up close for the members of our family who are not snorkelers or divers (young kids and grandparents). The guide struck the perfect tone between informative and entertaining. Being in a submarine is an all-around cool experience and everyone enjoyed watching it surface and dive as well. The whole experience is very well done. Try to look for tours that aren't full as that'll make it easier for you to look out both sides of the submarine. The submarine turns around to try to give equal time to both sides but the sea life doesn't always stick around.

The guide was hilarious and fun—a great family activity. We saw a shark, fish, and a sunken ship. How fun is that? I highly recommend it.
