From the moment we arrived at the Mendes Ranch, we were made to feel welcome. The staff were all so pleasant and explained everything in detail. They asked about everyone's riding skill. I had had horses all my life so I am an advanced rider. My husband is a beginner. The did a wonderful job matching horse to rider. My husband rode GW, a big white gelding and I rode Spirit, a little mare that lived up to her name. The advanced riders had the opportunity to gallop their horses and the beginners' horses were well behaved and did not try to bolt when the other horses were running. Our guide was great and took several pictures of everyone and told some great stories about the ranches` history. One of the best days of our stay!!!!

The staff is so helpful and patient . Horses very gentle . The views are amazing . This is our second time to ride here and it was just as wonderful as we remembered . Would highly recommend .

This is something that will forever be remembered from our honeymoon!! The most breathtaking views. We just kept saying wow!! Butch was the best guide we could have asked for! So full of knowledge about the island and funny!! Even took pictures of us in front of breathtaking views!! The sweetest people run the ranch and really care about your experience! A definite must on your travel itinerary!! We even got to have the horses run in a couple spots! We can’t say enough good about this place!
