The food was delicious and the entertainment that we got to see was really good, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, but this isn't why I'm giving two stars. I'm giving two stars because they didn't have out ponchos until it had already been raining for 20 minutes at least so by the time we got them we were cold and drenched. Then, they called the show off like 5 minutes after we put the ponchos on and the rain stopped no less than 5 minutes later on our way back to our room. We were definitely disappointed, especially because we paid $150/person for a not so once-in-a-lifetime experience. Oh, and we didn't get any sort of refund for them calling off the show so make sure you look at all your luau options before booking one.

We thought this luau was great! The doors seemed to open at 4:45 and they had pictures, welcoming drinks and activities to keep everyone busy until the food was ready. The line to the buffet was a little disappointing (a few things were out when you got to them) but the quality of the food was good and my teenage boys went for seconds. The disappointment was dessert - they put out dessert on a table before most of us had dinner food and kids went over taking platefulls of cake pieces. Of course they ran out by the time most of us were ready. I think either you wait to serve dessert so everyone gets a chance, or you post someone near the tables to play the role of parents and ask kids to be reasonable. Of course there were several adults doing the same thing so I'm not sure what works when people are just ridiculous. That being said the dancers were great and the show very entertaining so we were very happy with the night overall. This setting is also spectacular - bring your parking garage ticket to get it validated for $2 parking (versus $20)! I don't know that paying extra to sit up front would be of much benefit except for the order of going to the food line. You could see the show from anywhere and we actually enjoyed walking around a bit for different views in the back.
