small stage, and it seemed as if the women who was coming on stage to tell us what each dance was about was on stage more than the dancers. I sat in the back and it was hard to see with the way they had the tables set up. Had a extremely tall person blocking my view the whole time.

Wow was this bad. (Reviews on another popular review sight much more closely resemble our experience) $540 for 2 adults and 2 children to sit in the blazing sun on a hot lawn on plastic chairs sipping pre-mixed drinks in plastic cups which you have to wait in line to get. When we complained about the blinding sun (our chairs faced away from the stage and right into the sun) the manager told us to leave since we were clearly unhappy. Mind you.. no refund. It felt somewhat threatening.. like he was going to call security or something. "This is what luaus are like and since you are unhappy I would suggest that you leave". So we did. Life is too short for misery on vacation. The biggest part of the letdown was that we had really been looking forward to it. We had been to other popular luaus before but could only get reservations here this time around. Other data points: Stage can not be seen by children. Stage is tiny and can only be seen by adults when standing. Get in line for house wine in plastic cups.. over-oaked cheap chardonnay was the only choice. We did not stay for food but other reviews seem to dislike it. Did I mention the blazing sun? No other restaurant in Hawaii placed us into direct sunlight for dinner. Take a look at the pictures others took of the chairs & tables. Now try to picture that hot lawn you usually cross from your hotel room to the pool or the beach. That bit of purgatory of humidity and misery wile caring your beach-equipment. Well.. if you go to this luau that is where you get to have dinner. And no.. at 5pm in Hawaii in the summer that sun it blazing. (sundown was 7:05) But if you don't like it you can "leave".. just don't let the temporary plastic gate hit you in the...

Food was good. Drinks were plentiful. Show while not my cup of tea was very professional. Being able to take pictures at sundown with the leis that were provided added a nice extra touch.
