Farm tour was great. Learned a ton and Bo kept it very fun! He gives a great history on the industry and taste testing is the best part. Definitely recommend it.

Ken was good-natured and informative, and his personal history with the plantation was a rich source of feel for the work and the land. (My son now wants us to plant pineapple crowns the way Ken taught us, so we will.) We were already hugs fans of Maui Gold pineapples-- that's why we took the tour. They are reliably the sweetest, richest-flavored fruit marvels ever. (Getting fed pineapple in the field was definitely a plus!) So we were glad to see where and how they're grown and processed, and to help support the small, local enterprise. That rejected pineapples are composted, and that the fields are clearly worked without herbicide is a major plus. If it had been the right day for it we would have have done the tasting tour with the associated distillery. As it was we had a fabulous and distinctive lunch across the street at the Hali'imaile General Store (now restaurant). Highly recommended.
