Overview

Led by an Analog-Astronaut and Pro Astro-Photographer, we are the only stargazing company that avoids the bright moon and hand-selects time slots and spots for optimal stargazing views.

The tour comes in 3 parts:

First:
Your guide will point out celestial objects and constellations with a powerful green laser pointer, talk about his time as an Analog-Astronaut and more.

Second:
View live details of deep space using a sophisticated, light-sensitive camera and telescope. Look at epic views of deep space objects like Galaxies and Nebulas that you didn't know was possible.

Third:
Your Astro-Photographer guide will take a few stellar photos of you with the Milky Way.

All medium resolution photos taken throughout the trip are included in the price.

-High Resolution upgrades are available.

Stargazing locations vary each night depending on clouds and crowds. We stargaze on the slopes of Mauna Kea or Mauna Loa, whichever spot has the best conditions.

James was wonderful explaining constellations and stars and showing us the great photos he took. It was however quite cold at 8800 ft. So be sure to bring plenty of warm clothing. The jacket provided was quite warm but a pair of gloves if you can. I would also bring a blanket cause the chair would actually allow you to lay down and watch the stars.

We booked this tour for our last night in Hawaii, and it was the perfect end to our dream vacation. The view of the sky was perfect. James knew exactly where to go to avoid the clouds AND the crowds. Other companies don't work around the moonrise; but James does, and it makes a huge difference! He pointed out several constellations and objects in the sky. He took professional, quality photos of us with the stars. And he even provided parkas and lawn chairs for an all-around comfortable experience. A note to future guests: when he sends a "dropped pin" always click on the most recent one. We didn't realize the location had changed since the previous text, and drove 15 minutes out of the way... over a bumpy mountain road, in the dark, through a cloud, and it was not my favorite lol. Thankfully we left really early and still arrived on time. We went to Hawaii to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and this tour was the grand finale. Absolutely worth the splurge. Thanks, James!
