The Peabody Ducks

Stop at Schwab, a 120-year-old general store, and pass St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Sun Studio, and the Pyramid Arena, an astounding 20,142-seat arena resembling an Egyptian pyramid. You’ll also stop at the Peabody Hotel, famous for the 'Peabody Ducks' that live on the hotel’s rooftop and make their way to the lobby in a daily 'March of Ducks' celebration.

Beale Street

Cruise down Beale Street and Cotton Row, and travel along the Mississippi River and through Victorian Village, where you’ll see homes built in the 1800s.

Sun Studio

Sun Studio Tour See where it all began at the legendary Sun Studios, where some of the greatest singers recorded their music - including Elvis Presley, Johnnie Cash, BB King and many more. After your tour, you’ll be taken back to your Memphis hotel.

National Civil Rights Museum - Lorraine Motel

See statues of Elvis Presley and BB King and pass the National Civil Rights Museum, located in the Lorraine Hotel, where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated.

I went to Memphis by myself to go to Graceland. I decided to use one day for touring and I honestly am so happy I did. Sam was a great guide and knew so many interesting facts about Memphis. I didn’t think Memphis had so many interesting places!!! Even showed me the first place Elvis and his mom Gladys were actually buried at. When we went to Beale Street I got lost and missed the bus so I had to uber to our final destination Sun Studios. When I got there a family told me they were so worried about me and that Sam had gone back to try and find me. At the end of the tour I saw Sam again and he was really worried too. I was so sorry I put them through that but so thankful that I met so careful people. I was so mad at myself for not bringing any cash to tip him, but I hope he keeps doing this tours as enthusiastically and that when I come back to Memphis (hopefully soon) I see him again!

Our tour guide and bus driver, Sam, brought Memphis alive. His stories and deep knowledge of Memphis helped to make this tour. We particularly enjoyed seeing the Peabody duck walk and Sun Studio!
