Memphis Discovery Tour

Overview
Get the complete Memphis experience on this all-inclusive city tour. It’s a part history tour, part attraction hopping, part food tour that will introduce you to everything that makes Memphis special. You’ll visit World Famous Beale Street (the Home of the Blues); the Lorraine Motel, to see the balcony where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated; the Rock 'n' Soul Museum or Edge Motor Museum (if option selected); Lansky Brothers Clothing Store, clothier to Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and B.B. King (and still one of the most stylish places to shop!); and get a barbecue tasting at one of the best barbecue joints in the city!

Along the way, we'll show you our favorite Memphis sights, including the Mississippi River, Victorian Village, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, old Cotton Row, and Court Square, the lovely and historic heart of 19th century Memphis.

We enjoyed the Mogo tour and Sun Studio. In addition, the food and hospitality at Aldred's was wonderful. Big ups to Mr. Larry and May Darryl who made certain that my sisters and me (two of which are cancer survivors) were as comfortable as possible.

Tour included BBQ Central for lunch and admission to the Rock n Soul Museum which was great. Disappointed that the ducks at Peabody Museum were not 'performing' the day of our tour. Not much to see in downtown Memphis. It's my understanding Beale Street is alive at night. We were there 2:00pm and places were closed. In fact downtown Memphis was deserted, no one around! I believe downtown Memphis had its hey day back in the 1950s and 1960s when soul, blues and rock 'n roll music was being discovered. I don't see much now .. or did I miss something? The tour guide was nice, just not much to see.
