Grind City Brewing Co.

These breweries are sample itineraries only. All schedules are subject to change. Grind City Brewing, the embodiment of the city of Memphis… the hard work, blue collar sweat that keeps the city rolling. Grind City brewery is on one of the bluffs of the Mississippi, in the old home of the Tri-State veneer and furniture factory. Grind City refurbished and reused scrap wood and furniture materials to keep the history and spirit of the building alive and give homage to the uptown area it resides in. Table, walls, bar tops, flight boards and more are all re-used factory materials. Grind City has a mission to be a part of Memphis, they work with many charities in the community including St. Jude Children’s hospital, Angel Street, Folds of Honor, the Streetdog Foundation and more.

Wiseacre Brewing Co.

WISEACRE is a brewery committed to top quality, uniquely flavorful beer that appeals to passionate & progressive people through education & good times. Brothers Davin & Kellan Bartosch dreamed up WISEACRE many moons ago & have been on an extensive quest procuring top-notch experience from around the globe to deliver the crunkest brewery possible in their groovy hometown of Memphis, TN.

Crosstown Brewing

Crosstown Brewing was founded by eager homebrewer Will Goodwin and Clark Ortkiese in 2018. The brewery uses beer and good cheer to strengthen the community. The location of their brewery sits adjacent to the old Sears Crosstown building built in 1927 and sadly sat empty for years and fell into disrepair. In 2017 if was renovated and returned to service as a vertical urban village, the Crosstown Concourse. It houses a grocery store, several restaurants, retail stores, offices, a YMCA, a high school, a post office… and of course right next to Crosstown Brewery.

Brian was a great guide! He was very engaging and our group of couples had a blast. The folks at each of the breweries were also super welcoming, particularly the owner of Cooper House Project. Definitely a must book whether you’re a memphis native or from out of town!

This is the perfect way to explore the growing brewery landscape of Memphis! I've lived in Memphis for seven years and learned so much on this tour. The beers were fantastic, but it was our tour guide Brian who really made this experience so perfect. He was funny, kind and knowledgable. I would recommend this tour to both people visiting the city and people who live here. You won't regret it!

Review: City Brew Tours Memphis exceeded all expectations, offering the ultimate craft beer adventure that seamlessly blends history, beer knowledge, transportation, food, and most importantly, fun! Our tour took us to some of Memphis's finest breweries, including Grind City Brewery, Cooper House Project, and Memphis Made. Each brewery had its own unique charm and selection of delicious brews, making for an exciting exploration of the city's craft beer scene. One highlight of the tour was definitely the stop at Cooper House Project. Not only did we indulge in fantastic craft beers, but we also savored some of the most mouthwatering pizza I've ever tasted. Highly recommend grabbing a slice (or two) while you're there! Throughout the tour, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about craft beer, providing us with fascinating insights into the brewing process and the history of beer in Memphis. The transportation was comfortable and convenient, allowing us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the experience without worrying about driving. Overall, City Brew Tours Memphis delivered an unforgettable experience that combined great beer, delicious food, and plenty of laughs. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or simply looking for a fun way to explore Memphis, I can't recommend this tour highly enough. Cheers to an amazing time!
