Beautiful area and day to experience Mendenhall Glacier by canoe and trek! Guides, Kelsie and Kelby, were excellent- knowledgeable, interesting, funny! We enjoyed really being part of the adventure with paddling that crazy big canoe, and hiking up close to observe and learn about the glacier (s), history, and changes. Great to be with guides who love their work, and are excited to share their education and stories!

Bryce & Kelby were fantastic. I braved this one solo but Kelby put me at ease pretty quickly. A large group was inconsiderate & quite late to the group meeting spot after multiple calls confirming that they were going to show up. When they did eventually show up tried to wander off to buy a hat, Kelby was courteous & firm that we needed to get going. I was really impressed how he handled the situation. Bryce also put me right at ease after showing me how to suit up for the canoe. It is a strenuous tour in that you have to keep rowing, especially if others in the boat start lagging off. Both Bryce & Kelby kept us online and on time. The commentary by Bryce along the lake was both entertaining & informative. Getting up close to the glacier was a once in a lifetime experience. It's crazy how much it's receding. We were able to get up close to it & the hike was gorgeous. They made sure we all got back to our ships on time. Highly recommend!
