I thought that paddling a canoe would be a lot hard than it was. Yay! Our guides were great! They knew so much, and they were very helpful! I can't remember their names, but he had an unusual name(very cool, but I forgot it) and a ponytail. I think her name was Lena. The lake was beautiful. We got to see some small icebergs. We got to walk on different areas of the glacier. We saw black ice, the blue-ish white ice, and even underneath the glacier. There weren't any ice caves, but it was so much nicer up close than I thought it would be. Go out, paddle a canoe with a bunch of other people, and climb on an actual glacier!

Went with a group of 4 on a day trip from our cruise ship. Got picked up by Bryce at the terminal and had an amazing time until we got dropped back off at the ship. Bryce and Paul were both extremely fun and professional and made sure we had a great experience. Canoeing across lake Mendenhall and getting to hike up to the glacier was an extremely special thing and something I would recommend to almost anyone. You do need a fairly high fitness level to do this and enjoy it (don’t need to be an Olympian but an overweight out of shape person would struggle). Keep this in mind if booking, overall such a blast and would do this tour again to see this beautiful glacier again!

My husband and I totally enjoyed this tour as we got a chance to see the glacier up close and even got a taste of it because Mike managed to fish out a piece of broken glacier from the water. We are very happy to have Kelsie & Mike as our guides. The canoe journey was easier than I expected since it is a 14 person canoe. We made it in record time. The gears that was provided were very comfortable. I was worried about the boot as I am one of those that has a hard time finding a pair of shoes that will fit me, especially having to hike up and down the mountain without having my custom made orthotic. Everyone has no problem tucking in their rain pants into the boot except me with big calves. The boot just barely fit my pant in it so rain pants has to go outside. Would be good if they have big elastic band for those who cannot fit their pants in the boot to be able to tie it on the outside instead of drooping on the floor. My husband and I are in the mid and late 60s. We have no problem keeping up with the canoeing or hiking as we keep fit with 3-4 miles hike (1-2 hours) a day.

Teamwork makes the dream work! 14 paddlers in our big boat can really get that thing moving! Thank you for the input on boots, we are now looking into some alternatives so we really appreciate it! Glad you had such a great time. Thank you for leaving us such great review!
