Checked out this attraction while in NYC. My wife saw this heavily promoted on instagram. I was quite disappointed for the price we paid. I was mostly bored while walking through dark rooms that felt mostly like one continuous drug- induced hallucination. Definitely not for me.

The tickets are $50 and the experience seems to cater more to people who want to be Insta famous/TikTok. One of the exhibitions wasn’t available when we visited, although, after walking through many mirrored wall/floor/ceiling rooms, this was somewhat of a relief. There is a sound room where you feel vibrations of sound on the floors and wall. Like being in a nightclub. If you have someone in your party who struggles with lots of stimulation, this might be very unpleasantly overwhelming for them. We were given a card when we went in and told we got “free” mochi when we finished. When we finished, we were told that they’d stopped doing it before we got out. Considering they knew what time they were stopping it and how long the average person spends there, maybe they should simply not try to incentivise when someone has already paid for the ticket, particularly if they’re not going to deliver. Exhibits/installations were interesting but not anything truly spectacular and for three of us, it really wasn’t worth the cost of the ticket.

Hello! I'm the Head of Sales here at Mercer Labs. While I'm glad you joined us, I apologize on behalf of the team for the disappointing elements of your visit --- we did indeed have one of the galleries closed unexpectedly for temporary maintenance; and you and your guests absolutely should have received the Mochi at the end. Please contact us at [email protected] as I'd really like to try and make this right. We value all feedback, so thank you for sharing your experience and we hope you'll drop us a note. Thanks! - Joe T

Cool experience but not worth the price of admission. This is a $35-$40 ticket museum at best. Great instagram moments but that’s about it.
