Mesa Verde National Park
Mesa Verde National Park is a scenic dreamscape of mystery and ancient wonders. Its abandoned metropolis was cultivated between 500 CE and 1300 CE. Why the ancestral Puebloans left these enchanting mesas below the Rocky Mountains is still uncertain. Our Half Day tour will show off this outdoor museum with plenty of insight into the ancient indigenous culture, the history of the Park, and more. This Half-Day tour follows Mesa Verde’s most popular spots in just 4 hours. This tour is ideal for those who would enjoy a relaxing drive with a few short walks to ancient ruins and overlooks of the cliff dwellings. It’s no question that locals and past visitors consider Mesa Verde National Park a must-visit. It allows us a rare opportunity to experience preserved North American history before European contact. Joining a Mild to Wild Rafting and Jeep Tours guide ensures guests will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of authentic Southwestern culture.

Going to Mesa Verde National Park; I have three words for you “Mild to Wild.” Going with “Mild to Wild” I have two words for you; Tosh Black. The Mild to Wild tour gave Barbara and I the opportunity to see Mesa Verde without the constraint (and risk) of trying to drive and look at the same time. Had I been driving I would have missed much more than I saw. Jessica at Mild to Wild emailed and telephoned keeping us up to date and prepared. Outstanding customer service. My girlfriend Barbara and I had visited several other ruins; so we had more than a rudimentary understanding of the ruins. Given this I must say Josh Black was more enlightening than I could have imagined. The guide, Josh Black, is impressive. He furthered our knowledge of the ruins, history and the landscape. Overall, this was an exceptionally entertaining and educational experience; let’s call it “edutainment” at its finest.

Our guide, Tosh, was a valuable asset to our Mesa Verde experience. Very knowledgeable and so easy to talk to and ask questions. He told us the history of the area and of the Pueblo people in ways that really captured our imaginations and our hearts. We already were excited to see the area, but we left with a whole new level of appreciation for their history and culture. Thank you again, Tosh, for a great day!
