We had an amazing trip! Captain Amy, scott and Mitch were very nice and provided great education about the humpback whales. We saw humpback whales! An infant humpback breaching and also a very active group of males showing their flukes. It was an amazing trip and would highly recommend Iruka tours.

We had a party of about 20 people and there was room so we weren’t too crowded. Trevor, Mitch and the young lady were awesome guides. The water was very choppy but they handled the boat well and shared fascinating knowledge about the whales. Such as the escorts that travel with new mother’s are typically a female sister or aunt and that scientists discover this by taking samples of dna that whales spout from their noses. My biggest appreciation is that there were three other boats on the water with us, two were around the same size. Once reaching a common area our captain veered away from the others and patiently watched as I observed the other boats turning away. Because of his patience we were able to see a mother, baby and an escort. The majesty of it all brought tears to my eyes. This was a wonderful experience for myself and my two teenage daughters. Due to it being their winter season still, the water was super choppy but they offered ginger ale and ginger chews to help with those of us that got sea sick. Very great experience and very tip worthy. Thanks Guys!!
