Middle Kenai River Full-Day Fishing Trip

Overview

The middle Kenai River flows out of the glacial waters of Skilak Lake in the heart of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, home to a large variety of Alaskan wildlife.
We use an outboard motor to cross Skilak Lake and to run back upstream to fish the most productive spots.
This stretch of river can produce excellent trophy Kenai River trout and Dolly Varden char and seasonal runs of salmon. Daily guided drift boat fly fishing and spin fishing trips are available for all ages and skill levels.

Recommend you bring warm layered clothing, wool or synthetic socks, waders (please note: felt soles are no longer allowed in Alaska), two piece rain suit, camera, sun tan lotion, polarized sunglasses, hearty lunch, and water or other beverages

I have fished twice with Alaskan Angling Adventures and I probably will do again. Even though I live in Alaska and can get to the river in a short time, I enjoy fishing with Mike as I always get to see a bit of the river I am unfamiliar with, learn new tips and tricks I can apply to my own fishing and run idea's past him and we float. Mike is very patient with a relative newcomer to the sport like myself and he takes the stress out of it and allows me to enjoy myself even if I am flaying about. so far I have never failed to catch a fish on a trip. I hope to float with him again soon.

Mike Adams is our “go to guide” for salmon, steelhead, and rainbows. We fish the Kenai almost weekly. When we want a real expert to help us catch great fish and learn new techniques, we reach out to Mike. Patient and tactful, we learn more about the rivers and fish each trip. Our group was in Anchorage for a conference and we all had Kenai River fishing on our bucket list. Connecting with Mike was a great move!!! He put us on fish, was very knowledgeable and engaging - and most of all we all appreciated the purity of his approach with the fishing. I've fished all over with guides and Mike was one of the best. We missed out on the Silvers but got plenty of Sockeye, Dolly and Rainbows. You can't go wrong with Mike, wish we could have had more days.
