My wife and I were in ATL for our 5-year anniversary and figured we would try our first ever food tour. Not only does this particular tour include a variety of sensational food, but also incorporates local history. John was sure to provide recommendations for additional restaurants and experiences that we will surely visit on our next adventure in ATL. The food tour allows for interaction with individuals from all over the country which added a new and welcomed facet to our usually isolated vacations My recommendation is to try and plan your food tour at the beginning of your trip. It is a great way to start, and the recommendations by John will only enhance the rest of your trip

E. Thanks for taking a few moments to share your anniversary adventure with TA readers...and your recommendation! Plan any food tour at the beginning of your trip. For many travelers, Atlanta can be a big city with a lot of choices. My goal is to help my guests spend their travel dollars as effectively as possible and my "Suggestions" attachment is a gold mine of a local's advice. You two are close enough to spend more time in my Midtown neighborhood, even if it's to escape football craziness in your town! Check out the Music Midtown lineup for that weekend in September. Could be even more fun! My very best wishes to both of you! John

John, the owner/founder, was our tour guide for the day and he miraculously made us forget the heat of the day while giving us a hot tour! Not only were the food choices spot on but his anecdotes and historical tidbits made the tour all the more fascinating. Strolling midtown with John will give you the "flavor" of Atlanta in many ways. It's a "don't miss" experience!

Hey Global Traveler! Thanks for the terrific review without giving away any of the "surprises"! It's important for TA readers to know, as you have indicated, that my Tour is not just food...and some booze...but is also full of "anecdotes and historical tidbits". Everyone loves to be entertained! All the "flavors" add up to a 'don't miss" adventure!! And I would take my Tour as soon as you get into town! I always have tons of suggestions for even more food and fun. My best! John

We spent an enjoyable day with John, our knowledgeable food guide, sampling several unfamiliar (at least to us) food offerings in Midtown Atlanta. John presented us with 5 diverse stops, all with delicious food and drink pairings, although stops #1, #2, and #4 were hands down our favorites! We look forward to trying some of these restaurants, as well as others John recommended, on our own. The tour was a great introduction to Atlanta's many restaurants and cuisines. We will recommend this tour to both locals and out-of-town visitors. It was well worth the price.

Thank you, Scout!! It's always a treat to have a couple of "locals" on my Tour as I just wait for the comment ""I didn't know that!" The wandering around my Midtown neighborhood is even more fun when my guests remember what it used to be. Lots of food and fun now!! And with 60+ restaurants, easy to understand why my sweet Jeri hasn't cooked in 20 years! You two know where to park "free" and have my cute map...so don't be strangers! I'll be on the lookout....or just give me a buzz and you can join Jeri and I for some Midtown "research"! Ha! My best to you both!!
